Anne Botteri Strategic Communications offers executive-level communications counsel and hands-on support for higher education and nonprofit leaders. We are engaged when internal teams are stretched, leadership is in transition, or an institution needs experienced perspective to clarify priorities and amplify its story.

Areas of Focus

Our work spans strategy, leadership, and execution — grounded in institutional priorities and operational realities.

  • Confidential communications counsel for presidents, boards, and senior leadership teams. This includes executive messaging, board communications and general narrative guidance or development. 

  • Strategic communications planning during periods of leadership change, organizational growth, reputation risk or institutional complexity. Services include communications audits, messaging frameworks, transition planning for incoming or outgoing presidents, and recommendations on structure, staffing, and priorities.

  • Strategy and narrative development in support of fundraising and donor engagement. This work includes campaign communications, case development, donor impact storytelling, stewardship strategy, annual reports and general counsel on advancement communications and staffing. 

  • Writing and editorial leadership for presidential messaging, op-eds, white papers, speeches,  alumni magazines, annual reports, and signature publications. We help institutions and leaders articulate ideas clearly for public, academic, and donor audiences.

  • Senior-level interim communications leadership and embedded support during staffing gaps or periods of transition. This includes stepping into leadership or advisory roles to provide continuity, direction, and real-time decision support.
